King Law Firm is proud to have sponsored and participated in the 9th Annual Sparks Family Scholarship Golf Classic at the Grande Dunes Resort Club in Myrtle Beach. All proceeds from the tournament went directly to fund scholarships and an endowment with the Coastal Educational Foundation for LOCAL students attending Coastal Carolina University. Currently, there are 4 LOCAL students attending CCU fully paid by this fund.
Since 2010, annual scholarships have been awarded to deserving students meeting the university’s criteria and with a demonstrated financial need. As long as students continue with full-time enrollment and maintain a qualifying GPA, they can receive the scholarship for up to four years.
Coastal Educational Foundation, formed in 1954, seeks to provide resources for the betterment of the Coastal Carolina University. Since its inception, the Foundation has been extremely active in its fundraising efforts for Coastal and has directed a number of successful campaigns.
Coastal Carolina University is a liberal arts institution located in Conway, minutes from the resort area of Myrtle Beach, S.C. CCU offers dozens of areas of study toward the baccalaureate degree and seven master’s degree programs in education, writing, coastal marine and wetland studies and more. Recently, undergraduate degree programs for biochemistry, economics, graphic design, information systems, musical theatre, and theatre arts were added.
